What is Kushal Yuva Program (KYP)?

The Kushal Yuva Program (KYP) is a part of the "Arthik Hal, Yuvaon Ko Bal" strategy of the Bihar Government. It is a skill training program aimed at enhancing the employability of youth (aged 15-28) through training in Life Skills, Communications Skills (English & Hindi), and Basic Computer Literacy.

What is the eligibility criteria?

To be eligible for KYP, you must:

  • Be a resident of Bihar.
  • Be aged between 15 to 28 years (Relaxations: 31 for OBC, 33 for SC/ST/PWD).
  • Have passed at least 10th Class (Matriculation).
  • Possess an Aadhaar Card and a Bank Account.

What is the duration of the course?

The course duration is 240 hours, covered in approximately 3 months (or 60 days of training). Classes are held for 4 hours daily (2 hours theory/lab + 2 hours self-learning).

What is the course fee?

You need to deposit a refundable security deposit of ₹1000. Upon successful completion of the course (passing the final exam), this amount is refunded directly to your bank account by the government.

How can I apply for admission?

You can apply online via the BSDM website or visit your nearest DRCC (District Registration and Counseling Center). After registration, you can choose our center for training. You can also click the "Apply Now" button on this website to start a preliminary inquiry with us.

Will I get a certificate?

Yes, upon successful completion and passing the final assessment, you will receive a certificate from the Bihar Skill Development Mission (BSDM), which is recognized by the government and valuable for jobs.

What documents are required?

You typically need: 10th/12th Marksheet, Aadhaar Card, Bank Passbook, Residential Certificate, and Passport sized photos.
